What are we looking for?
We are actively seeking a Purchasing Manager for our Operations Department.
Given the strategic importance of our procurement operations, we are proactively seeking to connect with professionals interested in joining our team as a Purchasing Manager. We believe that building relationships with individuals who bring expertise and specialization in purchasing is essential to meet our expanding needs.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring the optimization of costs and quality. Additionally, they will represent the company at national and international conferences, lead negotiation sessions, and provide training for internal teams on procurement best practices and supplier management.
Which will be your responsabilities?
- To establish de internal policies regarding purchasing, assure the implementation at all levels.
- Maintain (including creation and renovation) a proper suppliers pool to assure that that their capabilities (including technical ones), quality, lead time and material cost are compliant with the company demands.
- Negotiate with partners and suppliers.
- Ensure that supplier agreements and contracts are on place.
- Manage the activity on the procurement department in order to assure the planning on the supply chain is met on time, quality and cost.
- To set and monitor key indicators for the area to monitor all the aspects including the financial ones.
- Lead, develop, and manage the procurement team, fostering their growth, improving performance, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
What do you need to be a succesful candidate?
- Academic background: Studies in business or engineering, with strong preference for a master's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or an MBA.
- Demonstrated experience of minimum 5 years as Procurement Manager in similar position, within Electronic Device environment (preferable: Medical Devices)
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, issue solving and cost improvement.
- Fluent Spanish & English language skills in both verbal and written communication is a must.
- Ability to solve problems and take prompt decisive action.
